american chinchilla rabbits and babies in the nest, 1 flemish giant rabbit, 1 mini lop rabbits, 4 american tan rabbits and babies in the nest, 2 great pyrenees, 1 beagle, one mixed mutt, 3cats (3 foster kittens), 13 indian runner ducks, 1 pekin/runner mixed duck, 6 call ducks, 3 americana/araucana/easter egger hens, 1 black mystery hen, 3 barnevelder chickens, 3 delaware chickens, a large flock of silver lakenvelders, 6 black copper maran chickens, 2 plymouth barred rock hens, some silkies, polish, and frizzle chicks, a varying amount of assorted laying hens, 30 assorted baby chicks, an incubator full of hatching eggs, 6 sebastopol geese, 2 american buff geese, 5 cayuga ducks, 1 bourbon red turkey hens. 3 TN fainting goats, 1 pigmy goat and 3 children, 2 miniature donkeys, 1 husband and 1 ghost.

where crows go

Clouded morning filled with cold reminders of breath.
I hear them, over my head in the layered gray sky,
the sound is comforting wisdom, yet fading quick.
I search the gloom for my sweet omen, my belief.
Knowing of the animal medicine, not the reason.
Universal justice is here, law of men extinct.
Black mystery streaking suddenly just below the gray.
The skies bring the truth of crows, for me,
only because I noticed. They noticed back.
I smile, caws disappear somewhere misty.
Searching again yearning to have another glance.
I want more, yet have absorbed the message.

A deep wind blows into my body.

I am the third eye,
I am the rock,
I am the tree,
I am the beating heart,
I am the crow.

Another breath, grounded.
I watch the mist come from my body
knowing where crows go
and now I wait.
